Subject Learning Coaches
In this section are two clips which feature colleagues from Colchester Institute.
The first clip is an audio file. Two managers discuss how Subject Learning Coaches can be used effectively in an institution. They discuss how proactive approaches to sharing and spreading effective practice can bring about significant improvements in teaching and learning. You will also hear how one college has formalised the work by setting up a Subject Learning Coach forum and using them as part of the ongoing professional development processes in the college.
In the second clip, Julia Smith, a Mathematics Subject Learning Coach discusses her role in supporting her colleagues across a range of vocational areas at the college.
