The skills, knowledge and attitudes integral to successful Enterprise are explored further through a range of generic activities.

Learners choose and 'pitch' an idea to their peers. This activity helps learners to develop an understanding of the potential risks and benefits in new ventures, and of the need to relate these to each other.

Learners investigate resources required to accomplish a given challenge. This activity helps them to develop an understanding of the importance of prioritising as they solve problems and of the types of resources required to complete certain tasks successfully.

Learners carry out simple research to learn more about what social enterprise is and find examples of existing social enterprise and their purposes.

Using a Diamond nine approach, learners think about where new ideas come from, the factors which determine whether the idea will work and the considerations that should be taken into account when generating new enterprise ideas.

Learners consider the possible risks that could be involved in a given scenario. This provides them with an opportunity to develop an understanding of the importance of recognising potential risks and of balancing risks and benefits.
