Some models of pastoral provisionIntroduction
Snapshots of the pastoral provision provided by the pilot sites are described below. The models of support have been developed by the sites to meet the particular needs of their learners, and are organised in many different ways.
In some cases support is embedded into overall provision, especially where the learner group is relatively small. Where large organisations are concerned, support is often organised discretely through a distinct team.
The focus of the action research undertaken during the pastoral provision pilot is also described where appropriate.
