What makes a good progress review?
This is a resource to help learners understand the purpose of progress reviews. It will also help them to recognise the level of support that they should expect from you.
The resources comprise:
- 22 statement cards based on the learners' entitlement
- three importance cards, Essential, Useful, Not very useful
- an instruction sheet for learners.
How to use them
- Divide your learners into groups of four to six. Each group should have a table or desk to work at.
- Hand each group a set of cards and an instruction sheet.
- They should place the importance cards far apart on the table and then decide where to put the statement cards, in a position between them that reflects their importance.
- When they have finished, ask each group to say which three cards they rated as most important, and which three least important, and why.
